In other news about this project. I’ve started Chapters 2 and 3 and hope to have both of them available soon. I have not found an editor yet to look through any of my work so you will continue to get unedited additions of content. I’ve had to recently go back and remap some of the story. It doesn’t exactly follow my original outline. For the sake of being more concise, I’ve edited out several scenes or even whole sections to try and keep chapters to a good length. I fear I add too many useless words in my writing and it is something I am working on and seeing some improvement in.
I’ve fleshed out the Icke culture more. It may or may not ever matter to the story. A part of me thinks it would be really cool if Nic was to meet a tribe of Ickes and learn the truth about who they are but that would require him to go into the Near Shore Islands. I’m not sure if the summer has enough days in it for him to accomplish such a feat. I may create a post about the Ickes and keep it updated with info as I write more. Suffice it to say, they have become something I think is really neat and I may end up writing a short story about them in the future.
