Story Overview
The story follows a young boy named Nic as he takes an accidental adventure for his summer vacation. The story features pirates, mystery, and light magic. Nic will learn to become a man and grow up during his time at sea. If you are looking for a swashbuckling Young Adult Fiction story, you’ve found it.
Project Overview
Every year for NaNoWriMo I tell myself that I’m going to write a short novel. Every year I fail to even start. This year I was determined and I got a jump start on the project. I spent much of September planning out the book and world building. Then I started writing in October. I quickly found out that I have a problem with Brevity. I would set limits of 2500-3000 words per chapter. then I would easily go on to write 5000-7000 words for that chapter. My goal is to have 50,000 words done by the end of November to fit with the goal for NaNoWriMo but I do believe this is a story that will range in the hundred thousand for word count.Progress
